Tokyo Kimono Experience Course

 

A) Duration: 1.5〜3 hours, starting time, either 10am or 2pm

B) Cost: Ladies - 44,000 Yen / Gentlemen - 33,000 Yen

     Children: 0 to 2 year-old - Free / 3 to 6 year-old - 20,000 Yen / 7 to 14 year-old - 30,000         Yen for Girls & 20,000 Yen for Boys

C) Capacity: 2 to 6 persons  

D) Venue: Shirokane, Minato-ku (near Roppongi and Tokyo Tower), if group of 5 or less

※Arrangements can be made to accommodate groups of 6 or larger at other locations.

E)  Agenda: Provided with basic English translation

  1. Tea service upon arrival

  2. A short Lecture on Kimono's history and various types for different seasons and occasions

  3. Select the Kimono to wear, with wide-ranging size

  4. Wearing Kimono assisted by a professional, with hair styling for Ladies with hair ornaments

  5. Introduction of one of below 5 major Japanese traditional ceremonial arts;

       (Note) One of following 5 art experience is included free of charge, and applicable                 when the Course is reserved more than 3 days ahead of the date. We                 

       will take requests for either of the 5 art experience, but cannot guarantee if the request         can be provided.

a) Sado: Tea ceremony art experience

b) Kado: Flower arrangement art experience

c) Nihon Buyo: Traditional Japanese dance art experience

d) Senshoku: Dyeing cloth art experience

e) Shodo: Calligraphy art experience

 6. Take photos in a nearby spot with your smart phones and cameras

 7. Take off the kimono to conclude

・Japanese home lunch / light dinner (per person)

 Adult - 3,000 Yen /  Children - Regular portion 1,500 Yen, Small portion 700 Yen   

・Dinner at excellent sushi restaurant

 Minimum group size : 4 people  Maximum : 7 people
